Mississippi Hearing-Vision Project (MH-VP) staff are available to support you, your staff and families of children and youth (birth – 21 years) who have BOTH a hearing impairment AND a visual impairment. We are grant funded through the U. S. Office of Special Education and located at The University of Southern Mississippi.
- FREE technical assistance regarding instructional strategies, resources, and professional development for how to best provide ACCESS to the curriculum when both primary senses are impaired.
- Who gets service? All teachers and administrators who provide general and special education, early intervention instruction, and families.

Lynn Dunn, NRSC, will “Zoom” present on IXL – Math and ELA (see attached flyer) for those wishing to obtain a FREE subscription for your students who are HI or are deaf. IXL is an educational virtual curriculum platform for K-12, which is fully aligned to MS College and Career Readiness Standards for Math!
Lynn said, “IXL is an especially useful instructional tool during this time of virtual/hybrid instruction. It is the only ‘Deaf Friendly’ software I have found that Deaf students can do independently.”
