Applications are now available for schools wishing to certify to become a Military Star School.
The Military Star School program is designed to help schools respond to the educational and social-emotional challenges faced by military-connected children and families during their transition to a new school and keep them on track for college. This designation is good for two years and schools must recertify at the end of their two-year cycle.
In addition to the application, schools must complete MIC3 Compact 101 training and submit a certification of completion. MIC3 Trainings are offered monthly from August-December and must be completed prior to submitting the application.
