MDE Updates Face-to-Face and Online Professional Development Services

The Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Professional Development is excited to announce an update to its Menu of Services. These free professional development opportunities are provided directly to districts/schools who need additional support in the areas of ELA, mathematics, special education, and science.

In addition to the Menu of Services for face-to-face trainings, a new online course catalog is now available for spring. These online courses are also offered free of charge to help support educators as they strive to improve student achievement. Registration is now open for the Full Spring and Spring I  terms which begin on January 1. These courses are designed to only take one hour each week, making them ideal for content-focused team meetings. Be aware that space is limited.

Click here to access both the Menu of Services and Online Professional Development Catalog for Spring 2019 as well as the Professional Development Request Form needed to request face-to-face services. For educators seeking to register themselves for the online opportunities, please visit https://gsmu.mdek12.org.

Contact Dr. Kristina Livingston at klivingston@mdek12.org if you have any questions or if you require a consultation with a content expert before scheduling professional development sessions.
