MDE Releases the Early Learning Collaborative Request for Proposals Due November 5

The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), Office of Early Childhood (OEC), received additional funding to support approximately 2,950 four-year-old children in high-quality pre-K classrooms.

 The OEC has released a new Request for Proposals for competitive written applications for Cohort IV of the Early Learning Collaboratives.  The purpose of the Early Learning Collaboratives is to provide funding to local communities to establish, expand, support, and facilitate the successful implementation of high-quality early childhood education and development services. The voluntary pre-K program is intended to improve quality and increase access to high-quality pre-K programs for four-year-old children. Required partners for this grant include a public school and a Head Start (if in existence).

 The application is due on November 5, 2021 by 2:00 p.m.
