The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), Office of Early Childhood (OEC), received additional funding from the Mississippi Legislature to support 4-year-old children in high-quality pre-K classrooms.
The OEC has released a new RFA for competitive written applications for Cohort V Round III of the Early Learning Collaboratives. The purpose of the Early Learning Collaboratives is to provide funding to local communities to establish, expand, support and facilitate the successful implementation of high-quality early childhood education and development services. The voluntary pre-K program is intended to improve quality and increase access to high-quality pre-K programs for 4-year-old children. Required partners for this grant include a public school and a Head Start.
