The Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Elementary Education and Reading and Office of Special Education announce training opportunities Oct. 10 through Nov. 17, for understanding and unpacking the Mississippi English Language Proficiency (MS ELP) and Mississippi Alternate English Language Proficiency (MS Alt-ELP) standards.
There will be two sessions for each training. Please note that there are separate registrations for morning and afternoon sessions.
One session will focus on the general MS ELP standards and the other session will focus on the MS Alt-ELP standards for English learner students with significant cognitive disabilities (SCD). These interactive trainings will be held in several locations around the state and will offer CEUs for those who attend a full day of training. Participants will receive resources for training other educators in their school or district. Please bring laptops or tablets to this training.
