MDE launches Educator Talent Portal to assist districts with hiring, employment application management

The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Teaching and Leading announces the launch of the Educator Talent Portal (ETP), a free resource to support districts in successful educator workforce recruitment and employment application management in Mississippi. Virtual office hours are set for 11 a.m. May 19 and 2 p.m. May 20. See links below.

The ETP is designed specifically for the education profession, helping districts streamline the hiring process by aligning candidates’ qualifications with district needs. Key features include:

  • Efficient Hiring: ETP reduces waiting periods by connecting districts with available talent.
  • Tailored to District Needs: ETP ensures that every educator hired is precisely aligned with a district’s specific requirements.
  • Facilitates Collaboration Across the State: ETP supports educator mobility and helps address workforce shortages by placing qualified teachers in classrooms more efficiently.

The Office of Teaching and Leading invites school district personnel to explore the ETP webpage at https://etp.mdek12.org/ to share positions and interact with other users.

Please note important information about setting up a user account and understanding your role within the system. When you receive an invitation to create an account, your user permissions will be set by the person who sent the invite. If, however, you created an account without receiving an invitation, your permissions will default to the Applicant role.
