Make It Mississippi Summer Leadership Program for Educators offers a unique hands-on experience for teachers to learn about new pathways in the manufacturing sectors. Registration deadline is May15.
On the University of Mississippi campus, educators will work directly with faculty and staff from the Haley Barbour Center for Manufacturing Excellence and Center for Mathematics and Science Education to help align industry needs with content for the Mississippi College and Career Readiness Standards. Regardless of your interests, this is a unique, hands-on opportunity to learn about the manufacturing industry.
The Summer Leadership Program for Educators is a two-and-a-half-day professional development program partially funded through the Center for Manufacturing Excellence; thus, space is limited to 20 participants in each session.
CEUs: Registered participants will be eligible for CEUs if they attend all three days of the Summer Leadership Program for Educators. CEUs cannot be prorated. There is a fee of $15 for CEUs. OSL and SEMI credits will be available upon request.
Grade Band: 8th–12th grade mathematics, science, and technology teachers
Dates: June 14-16 or June 21-23
Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
