Knuckle Down on the New Secondary Science Standards presented by the Center for Mathematics and Science Education

Are you ready to “knuckle down” on the new secondary science standards?

Join middle and high school science teachers from across the state as we work together to explore the core elements of Mississippi’s new science standards. During this two-day session, teachers will engage in the engineering design process, discuss cross-cutting concepts, explore the history of science, and share ideas about meeting the expectations of the 2018 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for Science. Participants will gain an understanding of how to build science reasoning from students’ previous learning experiences and how to equip their students to be critical consumers of scientific information.
