Jan. 12 teacher chat to focus on success of students with hearing impairment

The Mississippi Department of Education, through the Office of Special Education, will have its next “Tuning In” monthly teacher chat Jan. 12 from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

This Special Education chat session will focus on Collaboration for the Success of Students with Hearing Impairment. Teachers of students with hearing impairment will have an opportunity to share successful collaboration strategies, share resources that assist professionals in learning about hearing loss and discuss changes in current practice.

Collaborating and sharing resources are essential to building a strong and sustainable statewide Special Education professional community. The session will be facilitated by Ashten Yost, Special Education Professional Development Coordinator (Hearing Impaired). Featured guests will be teachers across the state, new and novice, who will share their best and brightest ideas.
