Introducing the 2018 Mathematics Formative Assessment Conference

Presented by the Center for Mathematics and Science Education with support from the C4 Project.

Research has shown that providing formative evaluation has had a significant influence on student achievement (Hattie, 2012). This on-going, in-the-moment assessment of student understanding can provide both teachers and students insight into individual learning needs. Join us as we collaborate as mathematics educators to share strategies and experiences with using formative assessment in the mathematics classroom.

We are excited to welcome back Cheryl Rose Tobey as our keynote speaker for the conference. Ms. Tobey has authored several books on mathematics formative assessment. Conference attendees will choose to receive a copy of one of her books:

  • Mathematics Formative Assessment, Volume 1: 75 Practical Strategies for Linking Assessment, Instruction, and Learning
  • Mathematics Formative Assessment, Volume 2: 50 More Practical Strategies for Linking Assessment, Instruction, and Learning
