2020 Top Tools & Guides
- Strategic Plan Implementation Framework – Strategic planning helps districts achieve organizational alignment, connect stakeholders to a purpose, and address areas for improvement. This worksheet outlines key considerations for district leaders to consider when building a strategic plan and provides an effective template to use for identifying objectives, assigning responsibilities, and evaluating progress.
- K-12 Fall 2020 Scenario Planning Survey – As districts across the country formed committees and working groups to plan for the 2020-2021 school year, this survey instrument supported their efforts by gathering feedback from stakeholders (e.g., parents, students, and staff) on how different school reopening scenarios would impact them. The survey instrument, which covered key issues such as instructional models (e.g., online, hybrid, in-person) and transportation needs, can be modified to guide current and future decision-making related to changes in school operations due to COVID-19 or other emergencies.
