Are you interested in helping students with visual impairments achieve more?

Have you thought about taking college classes to learn more to make sure students with visual impairments are supported for learning? If so, students need you.

Mississippians have a unique opportunity to achieve certification as either a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairment or an Orientation & Mobility Specialist for Students with Visual Impairment.

Through a nationally funded grant, Project MAPVI (Multiculturally Adept Professionals in Visual Impairment) with the faculty of the Virginia Murray Sowell Center for Research & Education in Sensory Disabilities, Texas Tech University, there will be applications from educators and related service personnel considered!

The first cohort will begin June 2025.
