The Mississippi Department of Education is pleased to share the following resources as discussed during the January EL virtual office hours session:
- Guidance document: Supporting High Quality Instruction for English Learners in Onsite, Hybrid, and Remote Learning Environments – this document includes strategies, examples, scenarios, guiding questions and resources for building and supporting high-quality EL instructional practices.
- Free LAS Links Instructional Guidance Resource – this resource contains lesson plans and activities to develop English Proficiency in the four domains related to academic content themes and contains content and test-oriented practices for grades K-12.
EL virtual hours are held monthly and are an opportunity to share information and for individuals to ask questions from EL staff in the Offices of Federal Programs, Student Assessment and Elementary Education and Reading.
