Educator Evening

On September 17, 2019 starting at 4:30 p.m., educators are invited to the Two Mississippi Museums for an evening of networking and museum exploration. During this FREE event, participants will hear from museum educators at the Two Mississippi Museums, Eudora Welty House and Garden, and Old Capitol Museum. Participants will also have an opportunity to explore the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. Registration can be found here.

34th Social Studies Teachers Workshop

On November 1, 2019, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History will host the 34th Social Studies Teachers Workshop at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson. Teachers will attend their choice of concurrent sessions throughout the day. The cost is $60 and includes lunch and admission to the Two Mississippi Museums. The first 100 applicants will receive a $30 scholarship funded by George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Earn 0.7 CEUs for an additional fee. Registration is open and can be found here.
