Back by popular demand, MCEE is offering a second teacher workshop in Mississippi on the economics of music and how to properly guide students interested in music as a career. The workshop will be held at The MAX in Meridian Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration deadline is Aug. 26 at this link REGISTER.
The lesson plans for this workshop were awarded a Platinum award by the National Association of Economic Educators (NAEE) earlier this year.
For this workshop, MCEE will leverage the appeal of music to:
- Help teachers teach about Mississippi’s rich musical heritage.
- Show students various ways music and economics overlap, especially as they relate to career options.
