The 2026 Metro-Math Conference announces that Dr. LaQuanta M. Nelson is this year’s keynote speaker.
Dr. Nelson is a transformational educator and leadership coach with over 21 years of experience as a teacher, principal, mentor, and district leader. As CEO of The BOSS Educator, she empowers educators to lead with the B.O.S.S. mindset — Bold, Optimistic, Spontaneous, and Substantial — while building strong instructional cultures. The conference will be held June 23–24, 2026, at Northwest Rankin High School in Flowood, Mississippi and will feature sessions focused on practical strategies for mathematics instruction, literacy in math, responsible AI usage, and support for special education teachers.
