Doctoral candidate seeks input on study to support Hispanic English learners

Dear Mississippi Educators,

My name is Laura Lee, and I am a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at William Carey University. I am conducting a research study titled Mississippi Educators’ Perceptions of Barriers and Supports to Academic and Social-Emotional Growth for Hispanic English Learners. You are invited to participate if you are a Mississippi teacher or school leader who currently works with English Learners or has done so within the past five years.

This study uses an anonymous online questionnaire that includes both Likert-scale (quantitative) items and open-ended (qualitative) questions about your professional perceptions and experiences. The questionnaire should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.
Participation is completely voluntary, and you may choose to skip any question or exit the questionnaire at any time before submitting your responses.

No identifying information — such as names, email addresses, school names, district names, IP addresses, or digital metadata — will be collected. Your responses will remain entirely anonymous, and participation cannot affect your employment in any way.

If you would like to participate, please click the link below to access the questionnaire:

Your insights will contribute to a deeper understanding of how Mississippi can strengthen academic and social-emotional support systems for Hispanic English Learners across our state.

Thank you for considering participation in this study.

Sincerely,
Laura Lee
