Districts must submit boundary updates for 2026 School District Review Program by Dec. 15

The U.S. Census Bureau is requesting information regarding school district boundary updates for the Annotation Phase of the 2026 School District Review Program (SDRP). The purpose of the 2026 SDRP is for local school district officials to review the Census Bureau’s 2025 school district information and to provide the Census Bureau with any revisions and/or corrections to the school district boundaries. The Census Bureau poverty and population estimates will be produced for school districts based on the 2025 – 2026 boundaries and grade configurations. The accuracy of this information is critical to the production of the estimates. It also impacts the allocations of Title I funds.

The following documents will be used to complete the School District Boundary Review Program for your respective district:

·    SDRP Letter to Superintendents

·    Attachment A – Tigerweb User Guide

·    Attachment B – County Coverage

·    Attachment C – District Inventory

Please provide the Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Orderly Schools with any revisions and/or corrections no later than Dec. 15. Please submit this information electronically to censusbureau@mdek12.org. If revisions and/or corrections are unnecessary during this cycle, the district must confirm via email to censusbureau@mdek12.org that all of the above mentioned information is true and accurate.
