The Mississippi Department of Education, Office of Special Education is seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of Director of Districts and Schools of Innovation for statewide leadership and oversight aligned to students with disabilities for all innovation initiatives authorized under Mississippi Code ยงยง37-179-1 through 37-179-11. Deadline to apply is Dec. 23.
The director is responsible for managing, reviewing, application, implementation and accountability processes for Districts and Schools of Innovation to ensure that innovative models (e.g., Bridge-to-Career Course, career academies, early/ middle college, competency-based education, blended learning, and workforce partnerships) are designed to support all students, including those served under IDEA.
The deadline for receipt of applications is on or before Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 2 p.m., Central Standard Time (CST).
