Civics Education essay contest offers cash prizes for 3rd-12th graders

The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) is offering scholarship money of up $1,000 to 3rd-12th graders who win its 2022 Civic Education Essay Contest about the U.S. Constitution. The deadline for entries is Feb. 25.

For the essays, students would have to answer the following question: “Which Amendment to the U.S. Constitution has made the biggest difference in people’s lives? Explain how and why.”

Third through eighth graders should submit essays 100 words or less. Ninth through 12th graders should submit essays in 250 words or less.

A total of $3,000 in cash prizes will be given to the winners.
