The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE), through the Academic Education Office, is seeking an Education Program Administrator to serve as the Executive Director for the Office of Compulsory School Attendance Enforcement (OCSAE).
The Executive Director should have extensive expertise and successful experience in improving school attendance at the school, district, or state level; knowledge of federal and state laws governing homeschooling and compulsory school attendance; experience working with at-risk youth including students in foster care and the juvenile justice system; management and supervision of a large staff; and management of budgets (state and federal). The Executive Director will also be responsible for overseeing Dropout Prevention and supporting school districts in these efforts
