The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) has two career opportunities in the Office of Special Education. Deadline to apply is July 20, 2022.
One position is for an Education Program Administrator located in the Parent Engagement and Support Division of the Office of Special Education. Knowledge of special education rules, regulations, and state board of education policies are required. The chosen candidate will communicate regularly with Local Educational Agencies, understand due process and will work with a diverse group of stakeholders and technical assistance centers.
The second position is Accounting Supervisor located in the Fiscal Support Division of the Office of Special Education (OSE). Duties will include overseeing the internal operational and financial implementation of the Office of Special Education programs, along with working with the Office of Technology and Strategic Support on the Education Scholarship Account portal implementation. Additional duties include improving the overall effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of the OSE in collaboration with other agency departments. Experience with tracking budgets and expenditures is required.
