The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks’ Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will have a Mississippi Arbor Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11.
Join an exciting day learning about Mississippi trees from sprouts to wood products. A spring bulb giveaway will be available while supplies last.
STEM activities include leaf ID, log dissection, guided tree hikes, wood magic and more. Special interactive themed exhibits include soil tunnel and w, Wood in Art
After the event, tour the museum’s permanent exhibits, hike the trails or visit the new Lefleur’s Bluff playground.
ADMISSION:
Included with museum admission or MMNS Foundation Membership. Museum admission is: Adults $8, youth (3-18) $6, children under the age of 3 are free, senior citizens (60+) $7.
School groups (i.e. more than 10 students) can quality for a group rate.
