Description: The Mississippi Council on Economic Education and Mississippi Secretary of State are coming together again this summer to provide an educator workshop with the following objectives:
- Research opportunities in Mississippi to start a business.
- Explore resources created by the MS Secretary of State to be used when starting a business (Y’all Business and Mississippi Boss).
- Learn to teach lesson plans in ANY subject that encourages students to start their own business (i.e. car mechanic, culinary art, agriculture, arts, business)
For: Any middle or high school teacher in Mississippi teaching one of the following:
- Business
- Career Discovery
- CCR
- CTE
- Entrepreneurship
- Work Based Learning
Where: University of Southern Mississippi- Gulf Park Campus (Long Beach, MS)
Requirements:
- Attendance at the full workshop
- Web-connected device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone)
When: June 22, 2023; 9:00am-3:00pm
