K-12 teachers and higher education faculty across the country can apply to attend professional development programs [t.congressweb.com] funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The application deadline for all 44 programs is March 5.
Selected educators will develop new teaching methods while delving deeply into a humanities topic through one- to four-week residential, virtual, and combined format programs. These programs have a broad impact – over 235,000 students nationwide are currently being taught by the more than 1,700 educators who participated last summer.
This summer, NEH is offering 44 programs [neh.gov] on a variety of humanities topics ranging from pandemics [t.congressweb.com] to the American West [t.congressweb.com]. These programs are highly competitive, but successful applicants receive an invaluable experience for educators to deepen their understanding of the humanities and learn new ways to incorporate that knowledge into their teaching.
