We are excited to announce the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is offering the 3rd annual Advanced Placement (AP) Experienced Teacher Workshop for teachers to renew their AP endorsement, hosted by the Ocean Springs School District (OSSD). The workshop is open to currently endorsed AP teachers (and teachers whose endorsement has expired since June 2016) in the following Advanced Placement subjects:
- English language and composition
- English literature and composition
- US history
- US government
- Human Geography
- Physics 1 or 2
- Calculus AB
The trainers are current AP teachers from the coast who have served as College Board AP exam readers or have experience with the new AP online support system.
The AP Experienced Teacher workshop will take place July 8-11 in Ocean Springs, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily. The workshop is free, and it will result in 3.0 CEUs for AP endorsement renewal. Teachers will be responsible for their own food, lodging, and travel. There are hotels, restaurants, and shopping nearby. The site director for this workshop with Ocean Springs School District is Karen Gifford at email@example.com.
