All Teachers, All In Conference set for various dates in October

The Mississippi Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Office of Professional Development announce a one-day, in-person conference for K-12 teachers titled All Teachers, All In Conference set for October that will highlight high-leverage practices (HLPs) all teachers can use to help all students thrive.

Are you a general or special education teacher in grades K-12?  Are you eager to learn more about how SPED and GENED teachers can work together to ensure that all students succeed? Are you looking for meaningful and engaging professional development and a chance to earn .6 CEUs? If you answered yes to these questions, then this is the conference for you.

Session topics included the following: co-planning, co-teaching, building relationships, checking for understanding, problem-solving, roles and responsibilities, norms and routines, establishing effective groups, collaborating for students’ success, the Science of Reading for students with disabilities, and more.

The conference will be conducted in the following six places across the state:

  • October 4—Cleveland, Jacob Center at Ewing Hall
  • October 5—Tupelo, ICC Belden Center
  • October 11—Hattiesburg, Thad Cochran Center
  • October 12—Jackson, JSU E-Center
  • October 18—Biloxi, MGCCC Hospitality and Resort Center
  • October 19—Meridian, MSU Riley Center
