The Mississippi Bankers Association (MBA) is announcing the 12th Annual “A Banker in Every Classroom” Week, Oct. 31 – Nov. 4.
For 11 years, the project has brought bankers and teachers together in local classrooms to educate more than 150,000 students on matters of personal finance. The MBA provides age-appropriate materials on savings, credit, budgeting, careers in banking and other topics. Bankers then use these resources to create a lesson to provide a meaningful and beneficial experience for local students. Bankers and teachers from all over Mississippi work together and register with the MBA to participate.
For the past two years due to COVID, A Banker in Every Classroom has been presented virtually. While we will continue to have pre-recorded lessons available going forward, the MBA staff is delighted for “A Banker in Every Classroom” to return to in-person classroom visits statewide this year.
