Qualified Zone Academy Bonds Grant Opportunity for LEAs

The National Education Foundation (NEF), the national non-profit leader in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and sustainability, helped hundreds of Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) in Mississippi and other states with the Qualified Zone Academy Bonds (QZAB) program, QZAB donation and QZAB academy for several years. The Congress terminated the QZAB program in 2017.

NEW QZAB PROGRAM: At the request of several LEAs, NEF has created a new QZAB program, much better than the expired QZAB, for providing LEAs energy-efficient, healthy facilities, and proven STEM programs.

LEA COST: ZERO, No bonds, No bank loans

THE LEA WILL RECEIVE:

  1. Energy equipment and monitoring system (state-of-the-art)
  2. STEM academy (most effective and proven to advance your students one grade level in a subject such as mathematics, reading, science, etc. in 25-35 learning hours, using individualized learning, incentives for students, teachers and parents, professional development for teachers, and weekly student performance evaluation and certificates by the State University of New York (SUNY)
  3. Cash grant (significant) for new facilities, improving existing facilities and technology
