Call for Reviewers: ELA/Literacy High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM)

The Mississippi Department of Education defines High-quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) as materials that are aligned to the Mississippi College-and Career-Readiness Standards, externally validated, comprehensive, and which include engaging texts (books, multimedia, etc.), problems, and assessments. The Offices of Elementary Education and Reading, Secondary Education, and Textbooks are seeking qualified individuals to serve as reviewers for the 2020-2021 Textbook Adoption process. The following content areas are seeking reviewers:

ELA/Literacy (K-3) – Foundational Skills / Handwriting (K-3)

ELA/Reading (K-12) – K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12

Pre-Kindergarten HQIM Curriculum – Comprehensive

CTE Fire Science and Law Enforcement; Family Dynamics, Child Development, and Nutrition and Wellness; Polymer Science, Simulation Animation Design, and Digital Media Technology; Business, Marketing, and Finance; and Lodging, Hospitality and Tourism Management and Cosmetology

ELA/Literacy HQIM Reviewer Application

For individuals interested in applying to serve as an ELA/Literacy HQIM reviewer, please complete this application by September 30, 2020, at 5:00 pm.
