The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is hosting a visual arts competition for an ornament representing our state as part of the national school ornament decorating event sponsored by the White House. During the 2020 holiday season, the decorated ornaments will be featured on the America Celebrates trees that surround the National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse at President’s Park and will also have the opportunity to be displayed inside the White House.
All school districts are encouraged to participate and enter the competition by following the guidelines below:
