At this link you will find the PowerPoint that Dr. Thomas Dobbs and Dr. Paul Byers from the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) presented during the June 23, 2020, Zoom call with district superintendents.
As was discussed during the meeting, the information in this presentation summarizes the roles of the MSDH and local school districts to respond to COVID-19 outbreaks in schools. It also provides supportive guidance on safer approaches to all school-based activities, within the context of individualized planning in each district.
The MDE will continue to work with the MSDH to provide districts with information and further guidance on situations that impact all school systems.
