Mississippi’s First Early College High School: GTECHS

High School, STEM, Career

The Golden Triangle Early College High School (GTECHS) is Mississippi’s first early college high school. Opening in fall 2015, GTECHS is a partnership among the Mississippi Department of Education, Mississippi State University, and East Mississippi Community College, which houses the school on its Mayhew campus. GTECHS serves five school districts in northeast Mississippi. As an early college high school, GTECHS offers students the opportunity to earn college credit throughout their four years of high school. This means GTECHS graduates can earn an associate’s degree while in high school.
