Data Drives Pre-K Launch in Pearl Public School District

Elementary

The Pearl Public School District fast-tracked its plans to open a 4-year-old pre-K program after district leaders saw hard data that showed the school readiness scores for their kindergarteners were below the state average. Within a year of receiving its Kindergarten Readiness Assessment data, Pearl opened an Early Childhood Education Center that serves 80 children in four classrooms. Pearl’s swift action is helping pre-K students build a strong foundation for learning in kindergarten and beyond.
