State Superintendent of Education Carey Wright, Ed.D. Dr. Wright testified on Capitol Hill July 18 at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and the Workforce hearing, “ESSA Implementation: Exploring State and Local Reform Efforts.”
Wright shared highlights of Mississippi’s plan to implement the Every Student Succeeds Act and talked about how the state engaged stakeholders to develop a plan that is tailored to the needs of Mississippi students.
Wright, who is president-elect of the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO), was one of four national experts invited to testify.
