On January 16, 2025, the State Board of Education approved the initiation of the Administrative Procedures Act (APA) process to adopt the proposed 2025 Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics. These standards establish statewide academic expectations for K-12 students in alignment with college and career readiness goals.
The proposed standards and supporting documents are available for public comment and review via the MDE APA Notice Website and the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Administrative Bulletin. To locate the filing documents on the Secretary of State website, select “Title 7 – Department of Education” in the Agency Search dropdown menu.
