Educators and Counselors: Applications for the Mississippi Governor’s School (MGS) are now open and due by Nov. 1.
MGS is a prestigious, tuition-free, two-week residential program designed for Mississippi’s most gifted students. Please help to ensure your school and district are represented.
Educators and counselors play a vital role in identifying and encouraging high-achieving students to apply for opportunities like MGS. MGS relies on your support to get this opportunity into the hands of students who would benefit from this unique academic, creative, and leadership experience.
What is MGS?
- A two-week, tuition-free residential summer program (meals, housing, coursework, and activities included)
- A transformative academic, leadership, and creative opportunity for gifted students
- Free college credit awarded upon completion of the program
- Open to rising juniors and seniors (current 10th and 11th graders)
