The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Special Education will host two one-day professional development opportunities titled What Every Administrator Needs to Know about Special Education Oct. 9, 2024, and Jan. 14, 2025, for elementary and secondary administrators focused on how to be an effective leader for students with disabilities.
The professional development will include small group rotations through breakouts about legal foundations, programmatic and outcome improvements, inclusive education and accountability.
