Jackson Heart Study at Tougaloo College offers summer program for high school students

This summer, the Jackson Heart Study Undergraduate Training and Education Center will host the Science, Language Arts, and Mathematics (SLAM) Program for high school students on the campus of Tougaloo College.

The SLAM Program provides students with enrichment in science, language arts, mathematics, and reading. SLAM also teaches students about health disparities and provides them with opportunities to explore health and science careers.

Students in the 9th, 10th, or 11th grades during the 2022-2023 school year are eligible for the summer 2023 SLAM program.  Please visit https://www.tougaloo.edu/academics/programs/slam-workshops to apply. For more information, please contact Kisa Harris at (601) 977-7754 or kkharris1@tougaloo.edu.
