The William Faulkner Literary Competition is an annual event for the city of New Albany honoring its native son Nobel Prize winner William Faulkner.
For approximately 25 years, the literary competition has inspired writers of all ages and from throughout the world to enter in multiple categories. Go to williamfaulknerliterarycompetition.com and click on “Competition Details” to access guidelines for the five categories.
Deadlines range from July 15 to August 31. All categories except Adult Short Story are open to all ages.
The Student Short Story competition is for Mississippi high-school students only (no entry fee). Teachers, these are great opportunities for you and your students.
