The U.S. Department of Education, ASCD, and TeachPlus are inviting districts to nominate themselves to be a part of the Spring Teach to Lead Summit. Applications are due HERE by Friday, Jan. 6, 2023.
Teach to Lead is committed to lifting up educators and is seeking dynamic teams to join its Spring Summit focused on investing in a talented and diverse teacher pipeline. Interested teams are encouraged to submit projects aligned with:
- Supporting educators in academic recovery and raising the bar for every student
- Increasing teacher collaboration time to improve student learning experiences
- Supporting a culture of educator wellness and belonging
- Strengthening and diversifying the educator workforce
What are the benefits for teams attending this event?
- Time and resources to develop a theory of action centered on a school, district, regional or state challenge
- Support of a dedicated “critical friend” to facilitate thinking and advance project work
- New relationships with the U.S. Department of Education, education partners and innovative peers
- Participation in learning experiences related to strategic communications and implementation planning
- No-cost registration and free on-site lodging for each team member (up to 5)
Who should submit an application?
- Teams must have 4-5 members, consisting of at least one teacher, and should represent the expertise, authority, and perspective required to do the work effectively (e.g., education agency director, program director, superintendent, principal, board of education member).
Event Logistics
- The event begins at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, March 10, 2023, and ends at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
- Lodging costs for each team member will be covered. Upon selection, each participant will be required to provide a credit card number to guarantee their hotel reservation.
