The Mississippi Department of Education’s (MDE) Office of Intervention Services announces the completion of a new resource for supporting English Learners, Newcomer Quick Guide for Administrators.
This resource is the result of work from the MDE’s Newcomer Working Group. The group is made up of educators from around the state who have dedicated their time and efforts to help develop resources to better support EL students. This quick guide provides administrators with valuable information on ways to support newcomer English learners. It also provides a link to a recorded PowerPoint presentation with more detailed information on the topic.
