APA Notice – MDE seeks public comments by April 18 on repeal of policy regarding school records

On March 17, 2022, the State Board of Education (SBE) granted approval to begin the Administrative Procedures Act (APA) process to repeal State Board Policy Chapter 73, Rule 73.1, School Records. This policy is being repealed in accordance with Miss. Code Ann. § 25-43-3.114 which requires an agency to review all of its rules at least every five years to determine whether any rule should be repealed, amended, or a new rule adopted.

All public comments must be received in the Office of Public Reporting no later than 5 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022.  APA comments will be presented to the SBE on May 19, 2022.
