MDAH 2022 Spring Teachers Workshop set for April; Apply by March 15

The Mississippi Department of Archives and History 2022 Spring Teachers Workshop is set for April 22-23. Twenty-five slots are available. Teachers must apply by March 15.

This workshop will be hosted by National History Day director of programs Lynne O’Hara and will introduce teachers to the Library of Congress’ Guide to Student Research and Historical Argumentation. The guide’s strategies include choosing and analyzing primary sources, constructing a thesis, and synthesizing research into a project.

In addition, attendees will be given time to explore the Two Mississippi Museums during the workshop and a peek at the 2023 NHD theme, Frontiers in History: Successes, Failures, Consequences.
