Teacher Strong Conference for new educators planned for January, April

The North Mississippi Education Consortium is excited to announce Teacher Strong, a two-day motivational virtual conference for new teachers, with sessions on classroom culture and motivation, social-emotional supports, student engagement, high-quality instruction, and supporting struggling students.

Sessions for PreK-4th grade teachers will be Jan. 12 and April 6.

Sessions for 5th-12th grade teachers will be Jan. 13 and April 7.

The focus for January sessions will be to help teachers “stay strong” while providing practical strategies and supports that can be implemented immediately into classroom practice. The April sessions will help teachers “finish strong” and provide motivation and encouragement to complete this year with passion and purpose.

Conference fee includes admission to the two-day motivational conference, 1.0 CEU, a Teacher Strong T-shirt for day two, and an opportunity to collaborate and build a positive community with other new teachers across the state.
