Please join us on October 20, 2021*, for a free one-day workshop for teachers (7-12). This event is being held in conjunction with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) traveling exhibition, Americans and the Holocaust. This exhibit examines the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s and is based on the exhibition at the USHMM in Washington, D.C. It will be hosted by the University of Mississippi library from December 1, 2021- January 14, 2022.

The workshop will provide:
- Keynote speaker, Joshua First, Croft Associate Professor of History and International Studies, University of Mississippi
- Free USHMM resources
- Foundational, ready to use USHMM lessons contextualizing the Holocaust
- Activity examining the challenges of escaping Europe during the era of the Holocaust
- USHMM film resource providing historical overview of the Holocaust
- Overview of exhibition, Americans and the Holocaust, with teacher resources
- Lunch and coffee will be provided.
- .7 CEU’s will be available for $15
