The 2022 Mississippi Education Law Conference will provide an opportunity for educational leaders across P-20 and attorneys representing schools and postsecondary institutions to enhance their understanding of cutting-edge education law and policy issues. We have assembled a diverse group of presenters, with experience as leaders in schools and postsecondary institutions and as practicing attorneys. The conference will be held at the University of Mississippi School of Law.
Conference events will take place over two days. For those new to education law issues, on June 8, we will have two half-day pre-conference workshops — one focused on K-12 and the other on postsecondary education. On June 9, we will have the main conference day. For this day, we will have two engaging plenary sessions — one focused on education finance in schools and colleges and another session on LGBTQIA+ issues. We will also have breakout sessions during the day that cover topics tailored to elementary and secondary schools and to postsecondary institutions, including community colleges. Professional development credit will be available for school administrators and CLE credits for practicing attorneys.
