2021 MS Teacher of the Year Application
Greetings District Superintendents,
The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is excited to honor and celebrate outstanding administrators and teachers during the annual Mississippi Administrator and Teacher of the Year Awards Program. Each school district is encouraged to nominate a District Administrator of the Year (DAOY) and District Teacher of the Year (DTOY).
Attached are the 2021 Mississippi Administrator of the Year Nomination Guidelines and Application and the 2021 Mississippi Teacher of the Year Nomination Guidelines and Application.
The application is also available online at: https://www.mdek12.org/OTL/OTC/recognition.
The deadline for submitting school district nominee applications for Mississippi Administrator of the Year and Mississippi Teacher of the Year is 5:00 p.m. on January 29, 2021. The program’s rules are outlined in the official applications and guidelines.
Each school district should nominate one administrator and one teacher. The procedure used to select the DAOY and DTOY is determined by the school district.
